  10. Ted [Edmund] Carpenter, fifty years ago, was 
  11. reporting on experiments done with radio, with 
  12. film, on primitives who had never encountered 
  13. anything and their reaction was instantaneous 
  14. and profound. If they took radio into a tribal area
